Lydia Elbatarny
BSc in Computer Science 2023
Lydia Elbatarny recently graduated from the BSc in Computer Science, specializing in biomedical computing. She contributed to the Simpson Lab’s body of research in Natural language processing (NLP) . She investigated the application of NLP for predicting metastatic disease response to treatment as part of her CISC 500 4th year project.
She is very interested in graphic design and illustration and works as a scientific illustrator outside of school. She is also quite interested in learning languages. Besides English, she knows two languages fairly well and working towards learning two more. She enjoys going on hikes and recently became interested in roller skating. Lydia is now pursuing a Master’s degree in architecture.
