
Kaitlyn Kobayashi
MSc in Experimental Medicine 2025 Former Lab Manager
Kaitlyn Kobayashi graduated from Queen’s University in 2021 with a BASc in Applied Mathematics. Afterwards, she worked for a year for the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health as their Pandemic Logistics Coordinator. She is currently working on applying various statistical and AI methods for survival prediction of metastatic colorectal cancer patients . She was the Simpson Lab’s lab manager and was part of the CREATE Training Program in Medical Informatics.
Kaitlyn is passionate about using her background in math and engineering to improve the quality of patient care. Outside of school, she loves cooking, dancing, hiking, learning piano and Italian, and playing puzzle or adventure games. She now works at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Dr. Benjamin Haibe-Kains lab continuing to do radiomics research.
