Gina Johar

Gina Johar is currently enrolled in the Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Doctoral Program (PhD)  in the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences at Queen’s University, part-time.  Her field selection is “Experimental Medicine” and her research interests lie in biocomputing to advance population health levering electronic health record, genomic and community based data.  Gina is also currently the Vice President and Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Quinte Health.  Gina’s professional work focuses on leveraging technology to drive public sector growth and improve healthcare delivery. Gina has a background in information science, privacy, healthcare administration, and executive leadership, with a graduate degree from Western University.  Additionally, she holds academic appointments at the University of Toronto and St. Lawrence College.

Gina’s leadership philosophy emphasizes kindness, inclusivity, and a strong work ethic, and she strives to bring humanity and compassion to the intersection of technology, and transformation. In her spare time, Gina enjoys spending quality time with her family as they enjoy food and travel adventures whenever they can.
