Biography
Reema is entering her third year at Queen’s University, pursuing a degree in Biomedical Computing. She was a founding member and the President of Youreka Kingston, a research incubator in the realm of health sciences. She has a passion for biomedical sciences and computing technology and is motivated by the synergy between the two disciplines. Reema's current work focuses on data augmentation for a deep learning project wherein expressions of microRNA are used to classify cancerous tissue. She is fascinated by the power of raw technology and strives to harness it to develop innovative solutions in medicine and healthcare.
