Greetings, QSC Instructors!
The Computing Instructional Support Team (CIST) is here to support you in your course prep for the fall. We’re still here during the school year to help out when needed, so make sure to contact us at email@example.com if you need help.
Here are some updates:
OnQ Perusall Integration
Perusall integration is now available for onQ, however, you have to enable eReserves for your course on the CCT+ tool and email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell them that you’re using Perusall (even if you’re using your own materials) so that they can have ITS activate it for your account. Once they do it, you’ll be able to integrate Perusall with your onQ course with the following steps:
- In Content, from the ‘Existing Activities’ drop-down list, choose ‘External Learning Tools’.
- Next, click on the ‘Perusall’ link.
- From the External Learning Tool drop-down list, choose ‘Edit Properties In-place’.
- Check the ‘Open as External Resource’ checkbox.
When you click on the newly added link, this is what activates the Persuall account.
The Queen’s Zoom license has been activated. If you already have a free Zoom account associated with your @queensu.ca email, make sure you change it to <your-netid>@queensu.ca and NOT your alias (eg. email@example.com) before you do anything. You can sign in to the Queen’s Zoom installation at queensu.zoom.us with your Queen’s netID and password. Faculty and staff have premium licenses, while students have standard licences. For more information, see the ITS Zoom Implementation page.

Hope to see you then.
