Biography
Lang Liu is a MSc student of Biomedical Informatics in School of Computing at Queen’s University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell & System Biology, Statistics and Mathematics from University of Toronto in 2019. He was a data scientist in the marketing team at a startup company in Toronto before he came to Queen’s University. His current research is to use microRNA data with machine learning to predict breast cancer molecular subtypes, and implement feature selection algorithms to identify miRNAs that discriminate between groups.
