School of Computing 50th Anniversary Celebration

Join us to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Queen’s School of Computing!

You’re invited to join our current students, alumni, past and present faculty and staff in gathering together for the School of Computing’s 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Dress Code: Business Casual

Cost: $100 per person for the entire weekend. Includes all weekend events including Gala entry and dinner.

Friday, August 16 2019

Euchre Tournament
3:00pm – 5:00pm, Queen’s Grad Club

Kick-off the weekend of celebrations with our long-standing QSC tradition in a Euchre Tournament at the Grad Club.

Alumni Reception
7:00pm – 9:00pm, Agnes Etherington Art Centre

Join us for an evening of live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar.

 

Saturday, August 17, 2019

Brunch
10:00am – 12:00pm, Mitchell Hall

Drop by any time for a delicious buffet brunch catered by Old Farm Fine Foods and see Mitchell Hall, the newest building at Queen’s University.

Campus Tour
12:00pm – 1:30pm, starting at Mitchell Hall

Explore and learn about some of the most recent buildings on campus including Mitchell Hall and the Isabel Bader Centre, and visit our home base, Goodwin Hall.

Mix and Mingle
1:30pm – 4:00pm, Queen’s Grad Club

Gather for a relaxed afternoon of board games, video games, and drinks.

Alumni Softball Game
2:00pm – 3:00pm, City Park (if space available)

Softball equipment will be available at the grad club for a traditional game. Please bring your own glove.

50th Anniversary Cocktail Reception and Banquet
6:00pm – 11:00pm, Four Points by Sheraton Hotel

Join our closing weekend celebrations with a 3-course dinner, speeches, a cash bar, and a DJ dance. Bar opens at 6 pm and speeches begin at 6:30 pm.
